But even so, it is not certain that sports betting does not occur today in that city. It just became illegal, but it is still happening. Certainly, banning only breeds corruption, so why ban sports betting when the city can earn from it instead? This gambling game is happening, anyway, so might as well profit from it.

Luckily, the governor and the city's hospitals are interested with the prospects of this idea. Although it is not still sure if this gambling game will be legalized, supporters are positive and hopeful that it will be. After all, who could refuse hundred millions of dollars as help? It is not as if the gambling industry will be the only one to profit from sports betting. It will also help the people and the government of the city.

Gambling houses in Atlantic City are losing to the ones in Nevada because clients are looking for sports betting, which they could not offer because of the law. Even the local gambling clients go to Nevada to bet on sports, and in this way, local casinos are losing more clients. To be able to compete with Nevada, Atlantic City's gambling houses need to offer sports betting, because it is the trend today. It will help them bring in more local clients and tourists. They need to go with the flow or be left behind.
